About SUST

Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (SUST) is a key public multidisciplinary university in China. The university was founded in 1958 and has been devoting to excellence in teaching, learning, research on science, engineering and innovation with a strong partnership with industry. SUST cultivates students in all aspects to meet the requirements of today’s well-developed economic society based on its rigorous scientific research and strong engineering practice.

SUST consists of 15 colleges providing 60 bachelor’s degree programmes, 102 master’s degree programmes, and 23 doctoral degree programmes with an enrollment of over 18,000 undergraduates and 3,100 graduates.

We encourage people from all over the world to visit Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province. Xi’an is one of the world’s renowned historical capitals with many places of interest such as Xi’an City Wall - one of the oldest, largest and best preserved Chinese city walls; the Terracotta Warriors - “The Eighth Wonder of the World” and the Qinling Mountains - the major range dividing northern and southern China. Located in Xi’an City central China, SUST campus is a 10 minute drive from the subway station and CRH (China Railway High-speed) and 30 minutes from Xi’an Xianyang International Airport, providing the most flexible transportation for local, national and international journeys.

Application Requirements

1. Non-Chinese citizens. Be in good health with outstanding learning performance and morality.

2. For Non-Degree long-term Chinese language Program,applicants should have at least senior-high diploma, and age below 25.

3. For Master Program, applicants should have bachelor degree or above, age below 30.

4. For Doctoral Program, applicants should have master degree or above, age below 35.

5. For programs taught in English, the applicants should speak English as his/her native language/official language or provide other English proficiency certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL, etc.

6. Applicants with a bachelor's degree from Chinese universities should provide certificate of HSK4 (≥ 180) or above.

 Application Period and Programme Duration

Application Procedures

1. Fill in personal information and upload attachments required by specific programme on the website https://sust.17gz.org/.

2. The university will reply with a pre-admission notice within 3 weeks if student gets admitted. Normally within another 4 weeks, an admission letter and JW202 form for visa application will be sent to admitted student by postal mail.

Tuition & Fees

1.Application

A fee of RMB 400 is applied to each admitted applicant. Students pay the fee when registering on site at the university.

Note: 1. For students who obtain President’s Scholarship, the tuition is  exempted.

1. Students could obtain President’s Scholarship each year (maximum is 3 years).

   The Belt and Road International Students’ Scholarship

Note: 1.The Belt and Road International Students’ Scholarship could only be obtained once.

         2. Only Chinese language programme students from BRI countries obtain the Belt and Road International Students’ Scholarship.

        The scholarship is obtained in the way of exemption of tuition fee.

Note: Sanqin International Students Scholarship of Shaanxi Province is for degree students without any other Chinese government scholarships.
