About SUST

Shaanxi University of Science and Technology (SUST) is a public multidisciplinary key university in china. The university, founded in 1958, has been devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and research on science, engineering and innovation with strong partnerships with industry. Focusing on engineering practice shapes students into the professionals required by today's enterprises and market.

SUST consists of 13 schools/departments and one graduate school providing 61 bachelor programs, 71 master programs, and 16 doctoral programs with an enrollment of over 20,000 undergraduates and 3,000 postgraduates.

Welcome to SUST and Xi’an

SUST greets people from all over the world to visit Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi Province, one of the world’s renowned historical capitals, with many places of interest such as Xi’an City Wall which is the most complete ancient city wall survived in China; Terracotta Warriors, one of the eight wonders of the world; and Qinling Mountains, a major east-west mountain range.

Located in Xi’an city, the center part of China, SUST campus is 10 minutes drive from the stations of subway and CRH (China Railway High-speed) and 30 minutes from the Xi’an international airport, providing the most flexible transportation for local, national or international journey.

*Twin Room has 2 beds in one room. Quad Room has 4 beds in one room. The fee is for each student in the room.

(2)  Living off Campus

If you prefer living off campus, you can search information for renting house through local agents.

Application Period and Program Duration

Bachelor Student: March 1^th to June 30^th

Master Student:  March 1^st to June 30^th

 October 8^th to December 15^th

PhD Student: March 1^st to June 30^th

  October 8^th to December 15^th

Chinese Language Student: Throughout the year. The full quota will be closed.

Application for spring semester will end on December 31^st of the former year;

Application for autumn semester will end on June 30^th of the year.

At SUST: first semester – September to January; second semester – March to July.
