On-Campus Facilities

Accommodation: The university has a modern, standardized international student apartment with elegant environment and complete living facilities, providing comfortable accommodation conditions. The apartment is staffed with apartment managers who are on duty 24 hours a day. It features a public laundry room and each dormitory is equipped with air conditioning, a private bathroom, electric showers, 24-hour WIFI, an independent kitchen, and furniture.

Dining: There are seven student cafeterias and one faculty cafeteria on campus, which are equipped with Chinese and Western food, various kinds of snacks and beverages. On the third floor of the Qinyuan Dining Hall, there is a halal national restaurant for Muslim students. In addition, there are specialty snacks, beverage stores, fruit stores, educational supermarkets. The dining environment is clean and sanitary, offering good quality and affordable meals, and convenient living.

Cafeteria hours are as follows: breakfast 6:30-8:00, lunch 10:30-13:00, dinner 17:00-20:00.

Recreation and Fitness: The university provides facilities including a badminton hall, table tennis hall, tennis court, swimming pool, basketball court, and football field. Every spring, a university-wide student and staff sports meeting is held, along with various sports competitions organized from time to time.

Campus Clinic: The campus clinic is located next to the gymnasium in the living area and provides 24-hour service to all students and staff.

Transportation Guide

Bus Stops: The area around the university is serviced by several bus lines including 336, 509, 236, 200, 901, and 170.

Subway Station: Exit the north gate of the university and turn right, walk for ten minutes to reach 西安工大·武德路站(Xi’an Gongda-Wude Road Station) on Line 14.

Train Stations:

1. Exit the north gate of the university, take bus 336 to 行政中心站(Administrative Center stop), and transfer to Line 4 of the subway to reach “Xi’an Station.”

2. Exit the north gate of the university, take Line 14 of the subway from 西安工大·武德路站(Xi’an Gongda-Wude Road Station) to 西安北站(Xi’an North Station), and then transfer to Line 4 of the subway to reach “Xi’an Station.”

High-Speed Rail Station:

1. Exit the north gate of the university and take Line 14 of the subway to 西安北站(Xi’an North Station).

2. Take a taxi to 西安北站(Xi’an North Station), which takes about 15 minutes and costs around 15 RMB.

Airport:

1. Exit the north gate of the university, take Line 14 of the subway from 西安工大·武德路站(Xi’an Gongda-Wude Road Station) to 机场西(Airport West Subway Station).

2. Take a taxi to 西安咸阳国际机场(Xi’an Xianyang International Airport), which takes about half an hour and costs around 70 RMB.

Xi’an Red Cross Hospital(西安市红会医院):

1. Exit the north gate of the university, take Line 14 of the subway from 西安工大·武德路站(Xi’an Gongda-Wude Road Station) to 文景山公园站(Wenjingshan Park Subway Station).

2. Take a taxi to the hospital, which takes about 15 minutes and costs around 15 RMB.

Xi’an No.3 Hospital(西安市第三医院):

1. Exit the west gate of the university, walk south for 200 meters to 显庆路元朔大道口(the intersection of Xianqing Road and Yuanshuo Avenue), take bus 236, and get off at 凤城三路 (Fengcheng Third Road stop (Xi’an No.3 Hospital)).

2. Take a taxi to the hospital, which takes about 20 minutes and costs around 20 RMB.

Xi’an Tourist Attractions

Special Note: There are many tourist attractions in Xi’an. International students are responsible for their personal and property safety when traveling. According to relevant laws, foreigners are prohibited from going to the area south of Qinling Huanshan South Road in Xi’an (except for Cuihua Mountain, Nanwutai, and Louguantai).

Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (大雁塔)

Located in the Daci’en Temple in the southern part of Xi’an, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is also known as the Ci’en Temple Pagoda. It was built in 652 AD during the Tang Dynasty by Xuanzang to house the Buddhist scriptures and statues he brought back from India via the Silk Road. Initially, it had five stories, later increased to nine, and finally fixed at the current seven stories, with a height of 64.517 meters and a base length of 25.5 meters.

Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the First Qin Emperor (秦始皇兵马俑

The Terracotta Warriors and Horses is a national scenic spot, a 5A-rated tourist attraction, a patriotic education base, a world cultural heritage site, and the eighth wonder of the world. Discovered in 1974, the terracotta pits of the mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor astonished the world. This underground sculpture group, built in the 3rd century BC, showcases the grandeur and magnificence of ancient Oriental culture with its mighty military formations and lifelike clay figures.

Shaanxi History Museum (陕西省历史博物馆)

Known as the “Pearl of the Ancient Capital and Treasure House of China”, the Shaanxi History Museum encapsulates the essence of China’s 5,000-year history. It is China’s first large modern national museum and a 4A-rated tourist attraction, boasting a collection of over 370,000 artifacts spanning over a million years, which makes it a palace of art showcasing ancient Chinese civilization and Shaanxi’s historical culture. These artifacts are not only numerous and diverse but also of high quality and great value, presenting a dazzling array of cultural treasures.

Huaqing Pool (华清池)

Located on the site of the ancient Huaqing Palace in the Tang Dynasty, Huaqing Pool is a royal garden known for its eternal hot springs, the love story of Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei, the Xi’an Incident, and its rich cultural and historical resources. It is a famous cultural tourist attraction in China, a national key cultural relic protection unit, and one of the first batch of 5A-rated tourist attractions. The large-scale live historical dance drama “The Song of Everlasting Regret” has become a successful model of China’s tourism and cultural creative industries.

Tang Paradise (大唐芙蓉园)

Tang Paradise is located southeast of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. It was rebuilt north of the original site of the Tang Dynasty’s Furong Garden, modeled after the style of Tang Dynasty imperial gardens. It is the first large-scale cultural theme park in China that fully showcases the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. With Xi’an as the “Capital of the Tang Dynasty” as its main theme, Tang Paradise integrates the essence of Tang Dynasty historical landscapes, vividly interpreting and fully reproducing the splendid culture of the Tang Dynasty.

Xi’an City Wall (西安城墙)

The Xi’an City Wall is a 5A-rated scenic spot and one of the first batch of national key cultural relic protection units announced in 1961. It is the largest and most well-preserved ancient city wall in China, with a circumference of 13.74 kilometers. As a symbol of Xi’an, a world-class historical and cultural city, the wall has witnessed the rise and fall of ancient dynasties, the changes of history, and has recorded historical footprints. The thick blue bricks on the wall, whether damaged, discolored, or deformed, all bear the marks of history.
